Yuba Support
Support for Yuba is one email address, answered by Amr Miri, the person who built the app. There is no ticket system and no chat widget — email is the whole channel.
Three things make a message easy to act on:
- your iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- what happened
- roughly when it happened
The app can write the technical half for you: Settings → Help starts an email to this address with a short report already inside — versions, your phone's model, counts and whether capture is working. No amounts, no names, no message text, and you read the whole thing before it sends. (Settings → Your data → Email us sends the same report.)
What support can see
Nothing. Your bank texts and your ledger live on your phone, and Yuba has no server, so there is no copy anywhere for us to open. We work from what you describe, or from the Help report — which carries counts, versions, and timestamps, never the text of your messages. There is no account behind the app either — no sign-up, no password — so there is nothing for us to look up or reset.
The one thing we do end up holding is the email you send: your address and what you wrote. We use it only to answer you, share it with no one, and delete it if you ask.

Missed bank texts
Open Settings and press and hold the line at the very bottom — Yuba and its version number. The Engine room opens; tap Catch a missed text and give the app the message it missed — it files the text as if it had arrived on time. If texts keep going missing, check that the automations handing texts to Yuba are still on: on iOS 17–26, open the Shortcuts app and tap Automation; on iOS 27, open the Shortcuts app, tap YUBA, and check that each of its three message blocks has Automation switched on. If it still will not file, email us — say which bank and when the text arrived.
Membership
Yuba is free for 60 days from the first bank text it reads; from day 61, totals, averages and charts need a membership, except for the months that ended inside your free days. The yearly plan includes one month free the first time you subscribe. Membership is billed by Apple and renews until you cancel — any time, in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling never removes a month you already opened, and capture, your open months, and export keep working even while lapsed; come back later and monthly opens from the current month, while yearly opens every missed month. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Exporting your data
Settings → Your data → Export as a spreadsheet. Every transaction as CSV text — save it or paste it into any spreadsheet app. Export is always available and never behind the membership.
Deleting everything
Delete the app. The database lives only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes all of it — there is no server copy anywhere, and nothing to ask us to erase. Settings → Your data can also remove data from inside the app. One honest note: if your own iPhone backup includes Yuba, restoring that backup can bring the data back. That backup is yours, under your Apple ID — we hold no copy.
